But why are people sharing these bizarre claims about the end of the world?
According to Christian evangelist Michael Snyder, the coronavirus is one of 10 plagues currently haunting the Earth.
The
plagues are: armies of locusts, extremely bizarre weather patterns,
unprecedented flooding, major earthquakes, unusual volcanic eruptions,
the coronavirus, the African Swine Fever, the H1N1 Swine Flu, the H5N1
Bird Flu and the H5N8 Bird Flu.
Giant swarms of locusts are absolutely devastating entire regions,
extremely unusual storms are confounding meteorologists, earthquake and
volcanic activity are both on the rise, and five very dangerous
diseases are sweeping across the globe.
“So far in 2020, it has
just been one thing after another, and many are speculating about what
could be ahead if events continue to escalate.
The Bible’s Book of Revelation
describes a series of events that will supposedly unfold in the final
days before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
But volcanoes have erupted in the past alongside earthquakes and viral epidemics, and the world is still standing.
And
despite being treated as a global emergency, the coronavirus’ mortality
rate is too low for it to be considered a biblical plague.
Christian
writer Michael Brown wrote in The Stream: “My own understanding is that
there will be massive upheaval before the end of the world, in the
midst of which there will also be a mighty spiritual outpouring.
Global events are beginning to spiral out of control, and this has
created a resurgence in interest in what the Bible has to say about "the
last days". Throughout the Scriptures, we are warned about apocalyptic
events that will precede the second coming of Jesus Christ, and a lot
of people are wondering if that period of time is now upon us.
For such a long time the Middle East has seemingly been on the brink of
war, and this event on July 1st could potentially be the trigger that
finally pushes everyone over the edge.
But none of these events have happened just yet, according to Dr
Brown, and it is unlikely they are represented by modern-day events such
as pandemics and economic-meltdowns.
The Bible expert said: "Will that happen? We shall see. But I can say without hesitation it is not happening yet.
"On
March 2, I wrote my first article on COVID-19, titled Is the
Coronavirus an End-Time Biblical Plague? - this has been expanded into a
full chapter in my new book When the World Stop: Words of Hope, Faith,
and Wisdom in the Midst of Crisis.
"This is not to minimise the very real suffering caused by the pandemic.
"Nor is it to minimise end-time Bible prophecy. Quite the opposite.
"My goal is to simply put things in proper perspective.
"In short, we have not yet reached the end of the world."
So what exactly does the Bible's Book of Revelation say about the end times?
Penned by John of Patmos, the Book of Revelation describes the Second Coming of Christ and the Apocalypse.
Revelation 8 reads: "When he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.
And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them.
"Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar.
"He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all God’s people, on the golden altar in front of the throne.
"The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God’s people, went up before God from the angel’s hand.
"Then
the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and
hurled it on the earth; and there came peals of thunder, rumblings,
flashes of lightning and an earthquake."

It has been said that Israel is the “Prophetic Time Clock” of Bible
Prophecy. That being said, I have always said to keep your eyes on what
is happening in Israel and the year 2020 has been very interesting for
Israel to say the least. For example, It was reported that rain fell for two weeks in Israel, breaking a 50-year record for the highest amount of precipitation in northern Israel.
According to a report from the Israel Meteorological Service, A
record was also broken in southern Israel as well where it was reported
that 5 inches fell, breaking a 76-year-old record. The most profound
thing about this record rainfall was that as a result of it, we saw
rivers of water flowing from Jerusalem into the Dead Sea fulfilling what many are saying is the Prophecy of Ezekiel that states:
Then said he unto me: ‘These waters issue forth toward the eastern
region and shall go down into the Arabah, and when they shall enter into
the sea of the putrid waters the waters shall be healed. And it shall
come to pass that every living creature wherewith it swarmeth
whithersoever the rivers shall come shall live, and there shall be a
very great multitude of fish; for these waters are come thither that all
things be healed and may live whithersoever the river cometh.” – Ezekiel 47:8-9

also stated that Ritual Baths for the future Temple in Jerusalem is now
fully functional for the first time in over 2,000 years as a direct
result of these recent record rains in Israel. I believe there will be a
Third Temple built in the future based on Revelation Chapter eleven and
many in Israel has been monitoring the Process of this event for many
years now and making preparations for this future event. In fact, it was
reported that during a recent speech
at the Kohelet Policy Forum on Wednesday, Prime Minister Benjamin
Netanyahu was interrupted by a Rabbi who was adamant about reminding him
of the importance of remembering the future third temple in Israel.
Three times a year—on the festival of Pesach, on the festival of
Shavuot, and on the festival of Sukkot—all your males shall appear
before Hashem your God in the place that He will choose. They shall not
appear before Hashem empty-handed, – Deuteronomy 16:16
Finally, the last thing I will mention here is something we all need to
pay close attention to and that is the highly anticipated “Mideast Peace
Plan” that according to the Jerusalem Post,
could possibly be unveiled within the next 10 months. The report went
on to state that the Trump administration is considering presenting this
peace plan in the coming weeks, even ahead of the March 2 Knesset
election. According to the report, The Trump administration’s reasoning is clear.
“If there’s an Israeli election in March, there probably won’t be a
government until May, bringing them very close to the presidential
election.” It looks like the clock is ticking and time is running out
and we are only two weeks into 2020. It will be very interesting to see
what transpires as the year passes. Keep your eyes on Israel in the
coming months.
